COVID-19 POLICIES

Because of COVID-19, as many appointments as possible will be virtual to encourage social distancing. All in-office visits will be by appointment only. Please call (705) 881-9091 to schedule an appointment.

A mask or face covering is required for all patients and support persons entering the office.

All persons entering the office will be asked to sanitize their hands immediately upon entering the office and answer the screening health questions.

Patients may bring one support person with them to any in-person appointment, although we encourage non-essential people to stay home if possible.

Please do not come to the office if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms:

  • Severe difficulty breathing
  • Severe chest pain
  • Fever (Temperature of 37.8 degrees Celsius/100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher)
  • Chills
  • Cough that is new or worsening, continuous or more than usual, not related to a medical condition you already have (for example, asthma, post-infectious reactive airways, COPD)
  • Barking cough, making a whistling noise when breathing
  • Croup, not related to a medical condition you already have
  • Shortness of breath, out of breath, unable to breathe deeply, not related to a medical condition you already have (for example, asthma)
  • Sore throat that is not related to a medical condition you already have (for example, seasonal allergies, acid reflux)
  • Difficulty swallowing or painful swallowing, not related to a medical condition you already have
  • Runny nose that is not related to a medical condition you already have (for example, seasonal allergies, being outside in cold weather)
  • Stuffy or congested nose that is not related to a medical condition you already have (for example, seasonal allergies)
  • Decrease or loss of taste or smell that is not related to a medical condition you already have (for example, allergies, neurological disorders)
  • Pink eye or Conjunctivitis, not related to a medical condition you already have (for example, recurring styes)
  • Headache that is unusual or long lasting that is not related to a medical condition you already have (for example, tension-type headaches, chronic migraines)
  • Digestive issues like nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain that are not related to a medical condition you already have (for example, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety in children, menstrual cramps)
  • Muscle aches that are unusual or long lasting that are not related to a medical condition you already have (for example, a sudden injury, fibromyalgia)
  • Extreme tiredness that is unusual
  • Fatigue, lack of energy, not related to a medical condition you already have (for example, depression, insomnia, thyroid disfunction)

Do not come to the office if you have been identified in the last 14 days as a “close contact” of someone who currently has COVID-19, or if you have been in close physical contact in the last 14 days with someone who is experiencing symptoms or has returned from travel outside of Canada.

Do not come to the office if you have travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days.
